Below is information from the state of Tennessee Department of Agriculture website that details individual and corporate responsibilities and actions required to obtain and maintain these important credentials. Tennessee Department of Agriculture Charter and License The license examination fee is $150, and application must be made by the 10th of the month that precedes the month of exam. License applicants must be commercially certified prior to the examination date. Applicants, with the exception of the AGE category, must qualify for the examination by one of three ways: have two years verifiable experience working under a licensee in that category, or have a four-year college degree with major studies in a related field, or hold a similar license in another state. License examinations are only offered in Nashville in the months of January, April, July, and October. The examination consists of two parts, the first in a multiple-choice written format. The second part involves specimen identification. A score of 70 percent is considered passing for each part. Failure on either part requires reexamination on both parts. I wanted to share with you my top five tips to tie a ribbon on this year and prepare for an even more successful 2015. Reflect on this year What went well? Take on a large rebranding campaign? Or perhaps your goals are more career oriented, perhaps to get that next promotion? If so, you want to pay attention to these great tips and avoid these common mistakes. Reestablish Connections Reach out to someone in your business network that you haven’t spoken to in a long time, someone who has done something special for you over this past year or an old friend from your former job. Drop a line to a friend that overcame a personal challenge this year, somebody who left you a message a while ago that you just never got around to returning or just for no reason at all! It may seem like a lot to squeeze in at this busy time of the year, but I can guarantee you that it can be done with just a little conscious direction.
